As of spring 2016, car sharing services will be available to Zagreb residents with a fleet of 30 vehicles — 10 electric and 20 fuel cars available for renting, a news conference in the Zagreb City Administration headquarters heard on Tuesday.
Before using the service, the user will have to register via the Spin City website after which they will need only a driver’s licence and a smart phone with which they will be able to locate the vehicle closest to them and unlock it, said Matija Krznar, CEO of Urban Mobility, the company that launched the Spin City service. The cost of one minute in a rented vehicle will be 2.62 kuna, he said, adding that this was the basic price and that clients would be offered packages with lower prices. With each registration, the client will have to pay HRK 150 which includes a 50 min ride.
After they are done using it, clients will be able to park the car where ever they want to for which they will not be additionally charged, Krznar said.
The new service was supported by Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic.
