Deputy PM expects coalition agreement to be signed very soon

Deputy Prime Minister Branko Grcic said on Thursday, following a statement by the Autochtonous Croatian Peasant Party (AHSS) that most members are not in favour of a coalition with the ruling Social Democratic Party (SDP), that he could not make any comment before a coalition agreement was signed, which he said was a matter of days.
Public Administration Minister Arsen Bauk told the press that it was up to each party to decide, in line with its statute, how to run in elections and that the AHSS would do so. “We’ll see whether the decision will be unanimous.”
He recalled that the SDP had cooperated “quite well” with the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) in 2003, running in local elections together in many towns and counties, and that in some they were still in a coalition.
