Hollywood glamour novelist Jackie Collins dies at 77

Jackie Collins, best-selling Hollywood author of steamy novels about sex, glamour and deceit, died of breast cancer at the age of 77, her family said.

Collins, sister of actress Joan Collins, sold hundreds of millions of books with titles such as Confessions of a Wild Child, Hollywood Wives and Lethal Seduction.

“It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful, dynamic and one of a kind mother, Jackie Collins, who died of breast cancer today,” the family statement said.

“She was a true inspiration, a trail blazer for women in fiction and a creative force. She will live on through her characters but we already miss her beyond words.”
