Amidst the extraordinary situation concerning the reception of refugees, Slovenia has suspended all international train traffic at its border crossings to Croatia, and train traffic has been halted at Croatian border crossings with Serbia, while buses are still scheduled for Slovenia however it is not certain whether they are being allowed across the border.

Germany on 17 September suspended all international rail traffic between Austria and Germany and so all trains travelling to and from Croatia are at a standstill.

Buses are departing Zagreb for Slovenia, however, it is not certain whether they are crossing the border and officials at the Zagreb bus terminal have said that they have not had any reports of buses being stopped.
