The border crossings of Bajakovo and Tovarnik at the Croatia-Serbia border were reopened to all traffic on Friday afternoon, the Croatian government stated on its Twitter account.

The Croatian border authorities closed the Bajakovo crossing to cargo traffic in the night between Sunday and Monday, and this had been the only border crossing open to traffic since the outbreak of the refugee crisis in Croatia.

The blockade caused border congestion and kilometres-long lines of trucks along the motorway passing through Bajakovo.

The border crossings — Ilok, Ilok 2, Principovac, Principovac 2, Erdut and Batina — are still closed to all traffic.
