Croatia was ranked among those European Union member states with a substantial monthly fall in industrial producer prices in August and that fall was substantially deepened at the EU level, Eurostat figures released on Friday indicate.
Croatian industrial producer prices in August fell by 1.4% from July when they fell by 0.5%, the Eurostat reports says.
Industrial producer prices in August fell throughout the EU with the exception of Denmark, Estonia and Cyprus, with the largest decreases observed in Greece (-3.2%), the Netherlands (-2.4%) and Lithuania (-1.9%).
Prices rose on the month in Denmark (+1.7%), Estonia (+0.6%) and remained stable in Cyprus.
In August 2015, compared with July 2015, industrial producer prices fell by 0.9% in the EU28. In July they fell by 0.3% in the EU.
All EU member states recorded a year-on-year fall in industrial producer prices, with the largest decreases observed in Lithuania (-9.8%), Greece and the United Kingdom (both -8.4%).
Prices in Croatia in August decreased by 4.1% from August 2014. In July they fell by 3.4% on the year, Eurostat reported.
