The cabinet of new Croatian Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic is to hold its first regular meeting on Thursday with status reports to be submitted by ministers about the state of affairs they found when they took office.
The first working meeting of the new government was held last Saturday morning after the Oreskovic cabinet was approved by the parliament late on Friday night.
The government is expected to okay on Thursday Croatia’s donation of one million euros as humanitarian assistance to be given to Syria and its neighbours until 2020, which means an annual outlay of up to 200,000 euros. This decision is to be adopted ahead of a conference on the Syria humanitarian crisis set for 4 February in London.
The government is to approve the crossing of NATO and Partnership for Peace member-countries’ troops over Croatia’s border for the purpose of participation in joint military exercises with the Croatian Armed Forces in February and March.
