Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic said on Thursday evening he had accepted the resignation of Veterans’ Minister Mijo Crnoja, saying that the name of the new minister would be announced in the coming days.
“Minister Crnoja submitted his resignation today and I accepted it. I would like to thank Crnoja as a war veteran and all veterans who had freed (Croatia). I will give my best because this ministry is too important to me and soon we will appoint another person,” Oreskovic told the press outside the government headquarters, wishing Crnoja all the best.
Oreskovic said that Crnoja, as a war veteran, deserved attention he received from the government over the past two days, adding that his cabinet had also requested legal experts to voice their opinion about the matter.
