President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic on Thursday met with a number of political leaders on the margins of a donors’ conference in London dedicated to Syria, the President’s Office said in a press release.
The President met with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, with whom she discussed the possibility of intensifying economic cooperation, particularly in the energy and economy sectors, her office said.
She also held talks with King Abdullah II of Jordan on bilateral issues and the security situation in the two regions.
The Croatian president also conducted bilateral talks with Swiss President Johann Schneider-Ammann and the talks underscored the importance of including Croatia in the agreement on the free movement of people between the EU and Switzerland.
The press release further notes that Grabar-Kitarovic met with the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, British Prime Minister David Cameron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, with whom she discussed current affairs in the European Union.
She also met with Macedonia’s President Gjorge Ivanov and Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, the press release says.
