The Chairman of the Bosnia and Herzegovina collective Presidency, Dragan Covic, on Wednesday called on the authorities of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to use the possibilities of the European funds for cross border projects, while Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party Secretary General Milijan Brkic announced the new Croatian government would provide stronger support to Bosnian Croats, adding that Croatia would support Bosnia on its path to the European Union.
Taking part in the conference “Interreg-IPA, cross border cooperation” in Kupres, Covic said it was exceptionally important to use Croatia’s experience on the European path, adding that the objective of Croatia’s policy in Bosnia was to secure the equal position to the Croat people.
“Regardless of all turbulences, the Croat people will remain in Bosnia. Our objective is to create a climate in which Croats in Bosnia will feel truly equal,” Covic said.
Brkic underscored that the new Croatian government would provide stronger support to Bosnian Croats, notably on the economic front.
