The City of Samobor continues with the City Gardens project which proved to be extremely successful.
In the past year, the city completely allocated 27 garden furniture to citizens and thus gave new content to the once discarded space of former Taborec barracks.
Due to the great interest of citizens, there will be another 20 parcel, and a public tender will be published on the website of Samobor, www.samobor.hr, after parceling.
Garden parcels will be provided for a two-year period free of charge, with the possibility of extending the use provided that the users are paying attention to the good master.
The right to apply for a residence permit will be provided by persons domiciled in the City of Samobor, and when determining the list, priority will be given to the social criterion, given the status of the Croatian defender, the status of pensioner and taking into account the number of household members.
"With the Garden Gardens Project we have provided our citizens with the opportunity to cultivate land and thus stimulate them in a healthier way of life. First of all, we have taken into account the social criteria, so that this measure will help the citizens who need it. In addition, this is one of a number of projects that have given us new social significance to the former barracks, "said Mayor Krešo Beljak.
In addition, following the announcement of the competition, the City awarded five lots in a long-term lease for fruit and vegetable production to encourage the development of agriculture and the economy in its area.
