During the vote at local elections in Pakistan, 11 was killed on Saturday in a two-party dispute settlement between two political parties.

Violence occurred in the Khairpur area in southern Sindh province, which holds elections at the same time as the province of Punjab. So far, there are no known parties responsible for the incident.

"Eleven people were killed when the two groups opened fire," police inspector Kamran Farzal said.

The opposition led by Imran Khan, a former international cricket star, hopes that the elections will help create a national coalition that could challenge the Nawaza Sharif Pakistani Muslim League-Nawaz Prime Minister in the next general election.
