Russian President Vladimir Putin called on Friday to form an international coalition against extremism, saying he had talked to him with US President Barack Obama.
Putin told reporters at the margins of the Eastern Economic Forum that he spoke about the initiative with the leaders of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and other countries.
"We really want to create some sort of international coalition to fight terrorism and extremism," Putin said. "So we had consultations with our US partners - I personally talked to US President Obama about it."
Speaking of a refugee crisis that hit Europe, Putin said she was expecting it.
