PPD Zagreb handball players lost on Monday the national SEHA League duel at the Hungarian Veszprema with 27-38 (12-18).
The most successful in the Croatian championship team were Domagoj Pavlović with nine and Luka Šebetić with five goals, while Veszprem led Cristian Ugalde with seven and Mate Lekai with six hits.
Both ensembles have already secured an appearance at the final tournament to be held in Varaždin by 1. to 3. April, PPD Zagreb is currently third with 36 points from the 16 match, while Veszprem is leading 43 points from 15 matches. The second place holds Vardar with 40 points from the 16 duel, and the fourth Meškov from Bresta with the same effect as the PPD Zagreb.
The third place will be in direct 8. March to decide PPD Zagreb and Meškov.
