The best advent in Europe begins on Saturday, 26. November and will last, along with New Year's Events, to 8. January 2017. So on Saturday, with the opening ceremony of the Advent on Zrinjevac, the opening of the decorative lights will open Advent on the European Square, the Ledeni Park on the Square of King Tomislav, the Fuling, the Zagreb Fairy Fairy, and various other events.

And while the last year's Advent in Zagreb hit all records, it brought tourists from all over the world into Zagreb, and Zagreb was even more visible on tourist maps, this year will be even better and more beautiful - announced the director of the Zagreb Tourist Board Martina Bienenfeld.

In addition to the unavoidable events in the central city square and the European square and Zrinjevac, the skating rink at Kralja Tomislava Square and all the delightful Fuling in Tomić, this year's Advent in Zagreb also brings many novelties.

Strossmayer Square, which has been so far neglected, is yet another attractive advent location, and the Upper Town this year will not be stuck with the decoration, music and smell of boiled wine. The Strossmayer promenade will be a kind of extravagance of Fuling, and similar events will be organized in Kurelce. Christmas decorations, music and joy will not be missed even for residents of New Zagreb. Plato The Museum of Contemporary Art is also an advent location as well as the ice rink at the Zagreb Fair.

Do not forget Advent in the recently opened Grič tunnel that will be "coated" with various 3D installations with special sound-visual effects as well as Advent in the Design District. For the youngest there are the Ice Fairy of Santa Claus and Advent at Rudolf. For lovers of good music and art this year, the doors of the Croatian National Theater, Museum of Arts and Crafts and Ethnographic Museum will be widely opened, and "Balkan Concerts" will be announced - at Maršala Tita Square and in Tkalčićeva.

Advent in Zagreb is the most important tourist event in the city, a media conference said. The number of visitors to 50 has increased in the last two years. According to the data of the Zagreb Tourist Board 2013. Zagreb's Advent visited more than 45 thousands of guests who realized little more than 82 thousands of overnight stays. Last year, however, the number of arrivals reached a number of almost 71 thousand, and the number of nights 124 thousands. This year, organizers expect an even greater number of visitors, especially foreigners, because, say, about two million kunas have been invested in promoting the event in the world. The whole organization will cost about six million kuna.

Recall that the Advent of Zagreb was declared the best European advent in the year, and was in competition this year.

Even though not within Advent, another big event - Croatia Music Week will be held in Zagreb during the upcoming holidays. A week of music and accompanying events at the Zagreb Arena, all starting with the New Year's Eve with Armina van Buuren, one of the world's best DJs.
