A model of the City of Zagreb's aid to housing younger scientists on the Podbrežje project was presented last night at the University of Zagreb.
"This is a great help for science students, which help them to be existentially disposed of and thus remain in this city and this country," noted the mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandic, while the rector of the University of Zagreb. dr. sc. Damir Boras particularly emphasized the fact that at the University of Zagreb there are about 970 novices who could become teachers and be interested in this measure.
As it may be heard, the City of Zagreb as part of its social responsibility in partnership with the University of Zagreb wants to assist in the housing care of younger teaching staff at the University in order to stay young and educated in Croatia. The city invests in human capital, which will have multiple returns measured in demographic, economic, social and political impacts.
Thus, within the framework of the Stanford Housing Construction Program, the City will grant homeowners interest rates on housing loans by paying customers an interest rate of 2%, and the difference will be subsidized by the City. Housing loans in this program will be more favorable than the market and will not require a deposit, while the flats will also be cheaper than the market. Mathematical vocabulary that is to 10 years at the apartment of 50 to 80 square between the 10 and 20 thousand euros savings or more precisely 222 euros per square meter to 10 years, said the mayor.
It is a residential settlement of Podbrežje, comprising 19,4 ha where are planned to build self-contained residential and business buildings, two preschools, schools, cultural information center, swimming pool complex and sports halls, parks and playgrounds.
"Today's presentation and the agreement signed by the summer have conditio sine qua non of Zagreb and Croatia's progress", concluded Mayor Bandic.
Remember, 12. In July this year, the City of Zagreb and the University of Zagreb signed the Cooperation Agreement, which has continued the successful cooperation in achieving common goals and represents the projection of cooperation between the two institutions over the next ten years, reports zagreb.hr.
