14. The "Human Rights Film Festival", a festival of engaging and authoring films, will be held by 5. to 11. December in the cinema "Europa" and the multimedia center of the Student Center in Zagreb and from 8. to 12. December 2016. in the Rijeka "Art Cinema Croatia".
This year's film program brings 35 documentary and feature titles, and the festival will open a fresh documentary by the prominent German author Werner Herzog, "Who would say: Fancy of the Networked World", exploring the influence of the virtual world from its beginnings to the widest range, exploring the digital landscape with the same curiosity and imagination as he previously approached to explore destinations such as the Amazon, the Sahara, the South Pole or the Australian Wildlife.
In addition to the aforementioned title, as part of the opening of the festival, will be presented the latest documentary of the recently abandoned Abbas Kiarostami, the film "Take me home". For all the fans of life and the work of a renowned Iranian filmmaker, it is worth pointing out that the first festival day will include the screenplay of the documentary "76 minutes and 15 seconds with Abbas Kiarostami" by Seifollah Samadian, in which viewers will have a unique opportunity to peer into unpublished and undiscovered moments of Kiarostam's life and work.
