Orchestra SO DO of children and young people will host the Center for Culture and Information Maksimir on Sunday, 18. December's holiday season. The concert will be held on the International Migrants Day, in co-operation with the Good Host Initiative, which runs a crowdfunding campaign to support young creatures without proper parental care and refugees.

This is a campaign to raise funds for young creators who want to deal with art, but because of the lifestyle they are unable to obtain the necessary equipment and training. At the initiative of the Kries Group, the campaign was launched jointly by Are You Syrious, the Refugee Support Initiative Welcome !, SOLIDARNA - Foundation for Human Rights and Solidarity and the Solidarity Coalition Split, to support at least 12 youth without adequate parental care, SOS Children's Villages and refugees living in Zagreb to realize their potential and the development of talents.


Cash grants are received through the INDIEGOGO platform, which will provide the necessary painting, photo and music equipment and space for work and learning to help young creators have the support of a real home. This concert is also joined by the Maksimir Center for Culture and Information and the SO SO Association, which has been conducting El Sistema in Zagreb for two years. The aim of their program is the socialization of young people through music, and orchestral music is a means that is the foundation of the initiation of a positive social change.


El Sistema Program since 1975. Whatever. exists in Venezuela, and throughout the system, around 2 million children have passed through the system. Among them is Ricardo Luque, chairman of the SO SO Association, who also started his musical journey as part of El Sistema as a child.
In addition to the orchestra, the Choir of High School GU Elly Bašić will perform.
