- The Zagreb Zoo supports a large number of projects aimed at the well-being of people and animals. That is why we are extremely pleased to be able to join the action "Africa - we can together". We hope that Dejan Nemčić's efforts will recognize as many people as possible, including our visitors - said Damir Skok, director of the Zagreb Zoological Gardens.
As part of the action "Africa - we can together", the money is currently being raised to treat African children from malaria. One drug is five kunas.
- Children throughout Croatia know that with one coin, "honey", can do a lot. In Africa every four seconds of a malaria die a child. We're saving our life in an African child, and with our school supplies we can make the future. African children love school and know that without schooling they have no perspective - Dejan Nemčić, who is spending the summer teaching children in the poorest parts of Africa, has no prospect.
In order to include more people in his action, Swingers group recorded the song "You give love, you seek love".
At the presentation of the videotape in Babaloou, a newly opened restaurant in the Zoo, special guests were members of the Croatian-African Friendship Society. Part of them, native to Nigeria, the association We can together wish they wanted music full of good energy - by drumming.
The box in which lovers of the Vrta can infiltrate five cents for treatment of African children from malaria will be placed in the Zoological Gardens souvenir by the end of March.
