Mayor Milan Bandić has issued a call for tenders for the purchase of a long-term loan for financing investment projects in the City of Zagreb in the amount of 350.000.000,00 kuna.

Even though public calls for large projects like to publish in all daily newspapers, where this loan is sought, he has decided to save Zagrepcan's money and the Public Call will be published only on the pages of the City of Zagreb.

The call will last until May 10, and the best offer will be selected.

The future lender of the City of Zagreb must also agree to a pre-defined deadline and repayment schedule: In ten (10) half-year installments after the expiration of the "grace period" of two (2) years, starting from the withdrawal of the last tranche of the loan.
Start of principal repayment is 31.1.2022, and the last installment is due: 31.7.2026.
The interest rate should be fixed and calculated every six months for each 31. January and 31. July.

So, the loan that will be spent by Bandic (but not on the beans free of charge on First May, rather than on the construction of the sljeme helicopter for which he will make money in the budget) will only be repaid by the mayor or mayor who will win the next local elections. Of course, it could also be Bandic if it does not prevent the judiciary from doing so. Namely, if one of the criminal proceedings against him currently runs at Zagreb courts is sentenced to a term of more than six months, he will not be able to stand for candidacy in those elections.
