On Thursday, 16. May, from 16 to 18 hours The Ana Rukavina Foundation will be in the premises of the Business University of Zagreb (Ul. Grada Vukovara 68) in Zagreb to maintain the action of enrollment in the Croatian Register of voluntary blood donor donors.

This activity of registration in the Croatian Register of Ana Rukavina Foundation is organized in cooperation with With the Student Choir of the Business Polytechnic of Zagreb in order to help the sick people in Croatia and the world in search of a matching donor.

All the healthy citizens from 18 to 40 years of age can be entered in the Croatian Register. The enrollment process covers the filling of the application form and the health questionnaire and the provision of a blood sample for HLA typing that determines tissue susceptibility antigens. Admission to the Croatian Registry is the first step to fill in to help people with severe acute and chronic leukemia and patients with severe bone marrow damage worldwide.

The message of each entry in the Croatian Register is medicine is in us. The Foundation wants to remind the citizens we carry drug by which we can save lives. So far, the activities of the Ana Rukavina Foundation and the Croatian Registry, which is part of the Bone Marrow Donors Worldwide, 61.708 potential donors of the abnormal stem cells, and the chance to live is for 103 persons in Croatia and abroad.
