Police did not use a tear gas to calm migrants at the reception center in Opatovac, and as some media reported on Wednesday, police spokeswoman Jelena Bikić confirmed.

She explained that at one time when immigrants entered the buses, they began to buckle, and as the iron fence shared by buses from the migrants were children, the police used a pepper spray. The spray came in contact with the eyes of several children who were given medical help.

The migrants subsequently calmed down and continued their boarding in the bus.

Among immigrants in the settlement, which are a heterogeneous group and belong to different peoples and ethnic groups, occasional incidents occur.

So on Tuesday, a migrant came up with another knife. Thanks to the cameras controlling the reception center, the attacker was discovered. A wounded migrant is not in danger.
